During Autumn 2022 Jupiter Construction successfully completed a modest 8-week project that was an alteration to the Kirkburton CE School under instruction from the School Governors after a successful competitive tender win.
Kirkburton school is a C of E school in the Kirklees region, with c500 students aged 10-13yrs.
This was a modest, split job, externally installing a new perimeter mesh fencing system, joining up with existing gates to create a much more safe and secure site. The fence itself was installed within the woodland perimeter of the school grounds and as such a specialist arboriculturist was employed to advise and check the works due to local Tree Protection Orders.
Internally – replaced external doors which where of a classic lock and key set up to a more robust aluminium security door entry system with mag lock card entry and exit system.
The team involved in this project were dedicated Contracts Manager, Site Management and Health and Safety support alongside the arboriculturist, the team of sub-contractors.
