One of the UK’s best-known and loved charities, English Heritage, manages hundreds of historic monuments, buildings and places of interest across the country. Brodsworth Hall & Gardens, encompassing a Victorian country house and ground, lies within the Doncaster region and attracts keen historians and visitors from all over the globe.
Early in 2020, Jupiter Construction was approached by English Heritage to tender for the visitor enhancement works at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens. In particular, the client felt their toilet facilities were in need of an upgrade to better accommodate the many visitors expected to the site over the course of the year.
Works commenced in May 2020 and involved the complete refurbishment of the visitor toilet areas – male, female, baby change and disabled units – which were stripped in full, before new electrical and mechanical components, cubicles, IPS, vanity units, flooring, decorating fixtures and fittings installed. This was achieved during the country’s lockdown, which the client felt was critical in preparation for the facility reopening its doors in the summer. The works were managed in full by our experienced site team, who worked quickly and efficiently to meet the demands of the client.
All works were completed on programme, within budget and to an exceptional standard, and the team from Jupiter looks forward to working on further projects with English Heritage.
