Aldi UK is a leading supermarket chain with close to 900 stores nationwide and around 8% of the market share. Open daily, each store receives high footfall from their customers making in-store safety paramount.
The St Mary’s Gate store in Sheffield was experiencing several leaks through the roof and its facilities team approached Jupiter to complete a full waterproofing process to protect the store from being damaged and to keep customers safe.
To complete the 8-week project, our team first erected a full scaffold around the building perimeter to allow access, with additional protection for the general public accessing the store each day. Next, we applied a Girosil Roofcoat coating system to the existing metal roof sheets, before sealing all of the guttering and roof lights.
All works were carried out on a live store in a busy area of Sheffield, managed carefully to prevent incidents and completed on time and within budget.
