Jupiter Construction were delighted to have worked with AHR Architects at St Mary's School, Menston. We completed a final phase of work in September to their Sports Hall as well as other works.
Works included 2 phases with the 1st phase involving a refurbishment scheme of the 6th Form Common Room and Study Room as well as four toilet blocks and the formation of a new servery area for the school kitchen. The works to all areas involved stripping out all finishes, fixtures and fittings back to the original structure and the complete fit out including new furniture and catering equipment.
The 2nd phase involved the full reroofing of the school sports hall as well as replacing the sports hall windows and facias.
As well as ensuring we adapted appropriately to the sensitive nature of the school from staff on site during the Summer period we also needed to ensure the safety of the children when completing final works.
"In addition the works require, Jupiter also assisted the school with asbestos work they had done which unfortunately meant some of the school was inhabitable". said Matt Wass, Managing Director, "so whilst on site, we corrected this ensuring the school were fully operational. Because this was additional reactive works, the correction needed to be completed at short notice and in time before the students came back".
Despite these extra works, Jupiter still completed on time.
“We were delighted with the quality of the work provided by Jupiter Construction. The work involved a number of projects in a challenging time period and we found them helpful throughout the planning stage, delivery stage and after the completion of the work. Communication was always clear, with regular updates on the progress being made.”
